Aish Welcomes Rabbi Jeffrey & Sarita Balaban & Family, Director & Co-Director, Young Adult Division

Aish St. Louis is delighted to welcome Rabbi Jeff and Sarita Balaban to the St. Louis community. Together with their four children, they are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to building meaningful relationships with young families throughout the community.

Rabbi Jeff’s Jewish journey began in an interfaith family, where he developed a deep love for Judaism that continues to inspire his work today. Originally from Colorado, he enjoys spending time outdoors—whether hiking, mountain biking, or playing football with friends.

Sarita, who grew up in Los Angeles, is passionate about creating warm and welcoming Jewish experiences. She loves cooking, hosting, and bringing people together around her Shabbat table. When she’s not busy raising their four children, she enjoys traveling and spending time in nature.

For the past four years, Rabbi Jeff and Sarita have served the San Antonio Jewish community, leading dynamic youth and family programming at the local synagogue. Their enthusiasm for engaging families, creating meaningful Jewish experiences, and fostering community has made a lasting impact.

Now, they are thrilled to call St. Louis home and are eager to connect with families across the community. They look forward to sharing inspiring Shabbat experiences, engaging educational opportunities, and joyful Jewish programming that helps strengthen connections and build lasting relationships.
